Affordable Housing Consultant, Licensed Real Estate Agent
elena@nfh.org
Elena is a fourth generation Marin County resident whose family arrived from Ireland and Portugal in the mid 1800’s. Elena brings over 20 years of diverse real estate experience to Northbay Family Homes with her extensive knowledge in the areas of real estate, foreclosure prevention, and mortgage loan transactions.
She is a licensed California Real Estate Agent and Notary Public and has had a passion for learning about all sides of real estate and development since she started as an escrow and realtor assistant. Throughout her career she has worked transactions from many different perspectives as a loan processor, loan operations assistant, escrow coordinator, marketing account executive, construction contract administrator, affordable housing consultant, and real estate agent.
Her range of knowledge, strong communication skills and commitment to excellent customer service made her a perfect fit for Northbay Family Homes. Elena joined the NFH team in 2004 as an Affordable Housing Consultant and Team Coordinator for Meadow Park at Hamilton. NFH was instrumental in the development of this 200 acre affordable housing community in Novato and was the exclusive broker to sell all 351 affordable workforce homes that were built by Shea Builders and Centex homes.
Presently, Elena assists first-time homebuyers with their mortgage and real estate needs, and leads the Employers Empowering Homeownership team at NFH, helping to lay the solid foundation of this innovative program. Elena also counsels homeowners on foreclosure prevention and homeownership preservation. She is a strong advocate for these homeowners and offers guidance and knowledge through a time that can be frightening and stressful as they fight to keep their homes.
Elena loves what she does here at NFH because she has been able to combine her real estate, development and mortgage knowledge with helping people realize their dreams of becoming homeowners. “To know that people are grateful for the difference you made in their lives, and the goals you helped them achieve… nothing is better than that. Whether I'm helping someone realize their dream of homeownership, or advocating for a homeowner who's trying to keep their home, it's incredibly rewarding work. I have a chance to make a positive difference in someone's future, their peace of mind and their quality of life. That’s why I call this my dream job.”
